Walking in the steps of Lord Jesus is inevitable regardless of the long time one is driven astray by the lusts of life and the various engagements that one gets embroiled in an effort to meet the needs of life.
Following is the text of the message of His Holiness Pope Francis for Lent 2022:
In the midst of the escalating tension between Russia and Ukraine and the worry fearing that if war breaks out between these two countries it would engulf parts of Europe and would exacerbate global problems at a time when the world is still searing under the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic which wreaked havoc on global economies leading to poverty, unemployment, violence, crime, and a future bereft of hope, calls have been made from various sources for lifting up prayers seeking the Prince of Peace, namely Lord Jesus' care intervention and mercy that would entrench peace
As we celebrate Mary under the title Virgin of Lourdes, “Patroness of the Sick.” Every day of the year, pilgrims go to pray with faith to the Virgin of Lourdes, so that She will intercede before God for a miracle of healing, especially if it concerns their physical, mental, or spiritual health.
On February 14 every year, people mark Valentine’s Day around the world as candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. This day is manifested in the expression of sincere love, affection, and devotion to others. It is merely an embodiment of pure human feelings of nobility and sublime feelings.
Blessed Mary, the Mother of the Saviour of the world Lord Jesus Christ, never fails those who seek Her motherly love and care. This is a real-life story of Catherine Sims Kuiper, assistant professor of education at Hillsdale College and a mother who was seriously ill but found extraordinary healing at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. As her serious illness devastated her, she found healing at this famous grotto.
In the second chapter of Saint Luke’s Gospel, beginning from verse 21, the evangelist tells us about the Circumcision and Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. Circumcision was performed eight days after the birth. The Presentation of Jesus and the Purification of the Virgin was held forty days after Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. By celebrating Christmas on the 25th of December, the Presentation falls every year on the 2nd of February.

January 18-25 is a week marked every year with hope and sincere prayers seeking concerted efforts concomitant with divine intercession to attain the long-aspired wish, namely Christian unity.
