Walking in the steps of Lord Jesus is inevitable regardless of the long time one is driven astray by the lusts of life and the various engagements that one gets embroiled in an effort to meet the needs of life.

In this world, people choose different ways of life. Yet regardless of the well-studies plans they embark on in order to follow a successful life, there comes a time when they realize that no matter how careful they are  they fail to attain perfection. Life is full of stories of people detailing how they were led astray after being successful in life as they encountered failures that hit back on the core of their lives.

Why do people lose their way? They definitely lose their way because they need a divine and invincible power that never fails them when sought. This divine power is only represented in Lord Jesus Christ Who said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life." (John 14:6)

Reports have gone viral indicating that people in Ukraine, who lost their ways in life amidst the war which is wreaking havoc on their country, are turning to Psalm 31 to bring them hope and comfort as they shelter in bunkers in fear for their lives. Bible Society has worked in Ukraine for the last 30 years, translating and distributing Holy Bibles.

The people of Ukraine have realized that no matter what happens, they need to be protected by the Merciful and Divine power of Lord Jesus Who keeps people unscathed in times of trouble once addressed earnestly.

Furthermore, press reports have indicated that the pastor of a church in the United States has recently shared the testimony of a man who became a Christian after finding a Bible he lost nearly 15 years ago.

Paul Daugherty, lead pastor of Victory Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, took to social media to share the story.

He says: “Meet Clayton— he found this old Bible at a shelter 10 years ago and started reading it, and saw the name "P. DAUGHERTY" on the front cover not knowing who that was but seeing all kind of little journal notes, and underlines and scribble thoughts next to scripture verses from the Old Testament to the New Testament…”

Pastor Paul explained how Clayton “treasured those little scribbled thoughts and notes that ”over the years until he came to Christ recently and attended one of his Sunday services to ask if the Bible belonged to him.

“He came to the church tonight and showed me the Bible and asked if I knew whose it was!!? it was my old Bible from middle and high school that I lost and hadn’t seen in 15 years!

“God used my old messy scribbles in the Bible to save this guy’s life who now is saved, set free, and brought his whole family with kids to church tonight! The Word is alive and powerful!” Pastor Paul concluded.

More than 14,000 people have liked Pastor Paul’s post which included a picture of him and Clayton holding the large worn-out Bible.

Actually, whether the Bible is new or worn out, it is merely the word of God. The word of God serves as a glaring light that shines the way  directing people towards the right path in life.

People worldwide are like sheep who need a sincere shepherd who would guide them rightfully in life. Lord Jesus is the good shepherd. He said, "I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and I am known of mine." (John 10:14)

Let us follow the "Good Shepherd", thus leading a safe and blessed path in life.
