Jordan: Adoption of a new curriculum relevant to Christian education a step in the right direction

Press reports have indicated that on Monday and Tuesday, August 7-8, 2023, over 120 teachers of Christian education from various Christian schools in Jordan took part in a course designed to review the new curriculum relevant to ecumenical Christian education which was adopted by all Christian schools in Jordan.

Fr. Jacques Hamel, a pious priest who dedicated his life to spreading the divine message of peace, was martyred seven years ago after being stabbed by evil hands demonstrating satanic intentions that target Lord's men on Earth.

 

July 27, 2023 marks the 7th anniversary of the martyrdom of a man of God, namely Fr. Jacques Hamel. He was brutally slain in cold blood while celebrating Holy Mass. At the time, two armed extremist men stormed the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray in Normandy attacked Fr. Hamel and slot his throat.

 

On the diamond jubilee of Fr. Manuel Musallam

With his distinctive tone of voice, 85-years-old Fr. Manuel Musallam invited me to participate in the celebration marking  the diamond jubilee (60 years) of his priestly ordination. I responded favorably in appreciation of the kind invitation from an old and noble brother. He also invited my dear uncle, Fr. Manuel Bader, because he wanted to meet on that day with people of his age and of his classmates.

 

The patriarch of Jerusalem is a cardinal

With Pope Francis' nomination of Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Pierbattista Pizzaballa  as a cardinal among the 21 new cardinals, His Beatitude Pizzaballa will be the first patriarch of Jerusalem, since the re-establishment of the Latin Patriarchate, to wear the Orange Hat that symbolizes the cardinals' mission. A motley of religious and official groups from all over the world conveyed well wishes to the patriarch as well as to the Patriarchate that bears the noble name, namely the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
