September 8 marks the Feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary. This day is the greatest and the most important day in history because it marks the birth of a blessed woman who was chosen to be the mother of the Savior of the world. Blessed Mary is the spiritual mother of all people and the holiest of God's creatures.

WHO IS BLESSED MARY?
The Holy Bible addresses blessed Mary saying, "For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of the stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it." (Wisdom 7: 29)

While reading the Holy Bible, one can encounter a Biblical verse that has a resounding effect on daily life. It is a verse that abounds with hope and gives a profound impression of bright days to come once one can grasp the meaning of this verse.

Humans are prone to sin. The accumulation of sins over the year drives people either to get inundated with evil-doing to the point that they cannot deviate from this course or they feel that they intolerably overburdened with sins and wrongdoings so that they need someone whom they trust to talk to so as to unload their wrongdoing and feel relieved.

Do you believe in these words of Jesus: 'I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.' (Mt 18:19,20)

Sainthood is the ultimate objective of the faithful. It is a step of drawing close to the Lord through a life full of obedience, love for all humans, sacrifices for the betterment of life, as well helping the poor and the needy.

The Holy Bible abounds with verses that shed light on sainthood. Here are some of them:
“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5)

Whenever a catastrophe befalls somewhere in the world, the first helpful reaction comes from His Holiness Pope Francis.

Whenever serious problems arise in any part of the world, the first positive response comes from His Holiness Pope Francis.

Pope Francis' reactions focus on doing whatever possible to help restore peace and stability to suffering nations. As Pope Francis prays frantically seeking the mercy of the Almighty God, he also dispatches financial and in-kind assistance that help alleviate the suffering of ailing nations.

When people are in trouble, they refer to the divine power and even to those who disseminate the message of love as dictated by the Prince of Peace, Lord Jesus Christ, who sowed the seeds of love and later germinated into charity organizations such as Caritas Jordan.

Following the bleak days that followed the 1967 events in the Middle East and the state of instability that prevailed later, Caritas Jordan was born with the aim of turning the bleak nights into bright light days inspired by the divine power.

Whenever a natural disaster takes place in a part of the world its ripple effect is immediately felt in other parts of the world or some time later. Natural disasters that rip through one country have negative impacts on the entire world based on the fact that this vast world is the common home of all people.

This is reminiscent of what is termed as global warming. With global warming, it is said that over the past 50 years, the average global temperatures have increased at the fastest rate in recorded history.

In every walk of life one encounters serious circumstances and might reach a point of losing everything or even losing one's life, yet at a very critical point something happens and turns an imminent catastrophe into joy. At that point one heaves a sigh of relief thanking the Almighty God's care.

At this point, people are perplexed for a catastrophe was imminent, but fail to grasp how a divine power interferes at the right time and turns a catastrophe into a feeling of joy.

Even though every Christian church we enter has a crucifix or cross prominently displayed, we can still find ourselves surprised by the cross in the events of life. There is something about human nature that seems to take for granted that things go well. When they don’t, we can be stopped short.
