Following is the English-language translation of a text of an Arabic-language article by Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan Bishop Jamal D'aibes reflecting of the current situation in the Gaza Strip dated October 28:

The international community may be divided. But it is important to find a political solution to address core issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We need a coalition supporting human solidarity to revive the peace process and to achieve equality and justice.

The tragic explosion and dangerous escalations in the Palestinian territories are the inevitable consequences of the absence of a fair political solution to the Palestinian issue, which has resulted in the ongoing humanitarian disasters.

I write these words in the vicinity of the Dutch city of The Hague. It is a city that suffered in the past by Spanish, Belgian, and French colonialism, while in World War II it was subjected to British bombings--as friendly ones--and sustaining hundreds of victims. Throughout the past ages, many of its people were displaced until it became at present one of the most important Dutch cities. Though it is not the capital, yet it is the headquarters of the King and the Crown Prince, as most of the governmental departments are located there.

The word "titanic" is an English-language word, which means something possessing exceptional strength, size, or power. This word was chosen over a hundred years to refer to a gigantic ship that served at the time as a model for a unique, advanced, and highly sophisticated liner which contained all the facilities needed  for thousands of people who wished to cross the seas in an atmosphere of extreme joy and ease. This luxury ship was assumed to be firmly invincible in the face of huge sea waves and hardships that could be encountered though navigation.

September 14 Marks the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. On this day, the faithful honor the Holy Cross on which Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, shed His blood out of love for the sinners, as by His death on the Cross He brought salvation to the entire world.

September 8 is a feast celebrated every year marking the Nativity of Blessed Mary. It is a day that made a radical change in the course of life in the world as it unveiled the birth of the noblest and most sublime person ever Who was chosen by the Almighty Lord to give birth to the Savior of the world. Blessed Mary is often referred to as Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Our Lady, Holy Virgin, Star of the Sea, Queen of Heaven, and Cause of Our Joy among others.
