The Holy Bible is a book of treasures. It is a book, with its Old and New Testaments, that tells the history of life since the wee hours of life on Earth. It gives directives on how to live a life free from mundane lusts, pain, towards the shores of safety.
The Holy Bible tells the story of the Incarnated Word of God Who was born in Bethlehem to send a message of peace, love, happiness, and a life that leads humanity to eternity in the Kingdom of God.
Despite the fact that the Holy Bible includes "treasures" that reflect invaluable divine teachings, yet "the Holy Book of Revelation "gives certain divine messages that need reflection, meditation, and deep thoughts.
The Book of Revelation, written by Apostle John, is the final book of the Holy Bible, offers instructions, warnings and loving encouragements as humanity expectantly awaits the return of Lord Jesus Christ.
Going through Chapter 6, of the "Holy Book of Revelation 6: 6-8", it says: "I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. 3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword. 5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds[of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages,[ and do not damage the oil and the wine!” 7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
The interpretation of these verses according to sources is that the first rider of the white horse represents the appearance of a false christ who would mislead people, while the rider of the second horse represents the occurrence of destructive wars that would wreak havoc in our world. The rider of the third horse represents an emerging famine, while the rider of the fourth horse represents the power to kill by sword, instill famine and plague.
These images, explained implicitly in this Holy Book, were explicitly announced by Lord Jesus Christ according to (Matthew 24:4-8): "Jesus answered: '4 Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains'."
It is important to remember that despite the prevailing hardships in the world, such prophesies will take place, but no one should fear because Jesus said, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20) He also said, “I have overcome the world,” (John 16:33)
The prologue of this Holy Book opens with the declaration of the intent of the prophecy, where God demonstrates His love for humanity by offering clarification for the confusing times they have experienced while waiting for Lord Jesus Christ to return. Had God not taken the initiative, the human mind could never have understood the real forces at work in the world.
On the other hand, the words of His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican Basilica on Thursday, 5 November 2020 keep echoing when he said: "The Lord repeats to us: 'I am the resurrection and the life”. He summons us to take once more the great leap of faith and to enter, even now, into the light of the resurrection. “Whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Once we have made this leap, our way of thinking and seeing things is changed.
Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, your wounds remind us of the suffering we put you through. Have mercy on us and wash us with thy blood and water. Cleanse us and make me whole again. Redeem our souls and make us a vessel of your work that we may testify of your unending mercies every day. We bow to you asking for your mercy and grace to fill our cups that we may want no more from the earthly things. Amen.
