She took the Rosary of Mercy out of her coat pocket

She took the Rosary of Mercy and the prescription medicine out of her coat pocket.

This is the nun from south Jordan who earlier came from India. Following a lecture by a priest about "The keys to the unique Jubilee Year" dedicated to mercy, the nun said: “Stand up; I would like to give you a medical prescription. Then she took a small box slightly larger than a matchsticks box on which a heart is carved and reads the name “Misericordina”. It is the medicine kit Pope Francis spoke about at an Angelus. Thousands of boxes of this “spiritual medicine” were handed out to pilgrims in St. Peter’s Square.

With the eagerness of a baby who tears open the wrapping paper of an unexpected gift, the nun opened the box which contained a rosary of mercy made of olive wood and a medical prescription which explains the benefits of praying the rosary and the “doses” prescribed for every age as well as directives indicating that the “medicine’ has no side effects.

The nun is thus looking forward to the "year of jubilee" workshop and furthermore to disseminating the message to pray the rosary daily so as to ensure that all people of different ages get the aspired mercy.

The extraordinary Jubilee Year is knocking on our doors and its door will open on December 8. It coincides with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of the Second Vatican Council, which constitutes “a genuine revolution in the 2oth century’’ based on sound doctrine and openness to the universal components of humanity.

What are we planning to do in the year due to start very soon? What have we done in preparation for this year? How to get ready for this year unilaterally and collectively? What is the message that will be conveyed by the Jubilee Year for the united and broken families?

We do need the eagerness of the nun, shown in abouna.org’s snapshot, which show her telling about the importance of prayer to acquire mercy. This mercy, in my view, is more important than analyses, meetings, and committees despite their highly collective importance.
