Reflections on the baptism of an Iraqi girl

Greetings,
I am an Iraqi baby named Tia,
My parents were forcibly displaced from Mosul two years ago and I was born in Jordan,
I received the sacrament of baptism yesterday at the Church of John the Baptist in Madaba,
The priest gave me the name of the wife of the Prophet of Iraq, Ibrahim, namely Sarah.

I do know that leaving the homeland and the properties is heartbreaking,
And that I might not see the land of Iraq,
I do not blame anybody for this,
I will emigrate to far countries,
And I will listen to numerous stories about a homeland called Iraq,
I will try every time to forgive all those who forcibly displaced us including individuals, communities, or countries.

What is important at the moment,
Is that my father and mother are joyful,
Because they have presented me with the most valuable gift, namely faith,
Many thanks to my father and mother.
