Pray "Our Father" to be extricated from the abysses of life

In our daily life, people encounter innumerable problems with some of them seem intractable while others seem leading to disastrous consequences.

In times when people encounter a deadlock, they resort to Lord Jesus Christ with sincere supplications and prayers seeking His mercy and infallible response in line with the Biblical verse, "Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief." (Psalm 143:1)

It was recently reported that Joe Ditomasso, 76, and Kevin Hyde, 65, boarded their 30-foot sailboat in Cape May, New Jersey, on December 3, 2022 and headed for the Florida Keys. The two friends were looking forward to an adventure.

With the outset of their trip, what began as a joyful sailing trip begun on Thanksgiving weekend unexpectedly became a living nightmare. The report indicates that suddenly the sky darkened, and their small boat was buffeted by a massive storm. High winds and giant waves rocked the boat, snapping its mast. The two men and their canine companion Minnie were lost at sea with very little food and water, no fuel, and no power to operate radios and navigation equipment.

Under such a helpless situation, the only available power  that could extricate these two men form their imbroglio is divine mercy. The two men were mentally preparing for the worst as the journey became dangerous when a major storm blew them off course while off the coast of North Carolina. They ran out of drinking water for two days.

Over a period of two days, Ditomasso would wake up every morning kiss the Holy Cross and say "Our Father." It is really a miraculous event that  Lord Jesus Christ heard the payer and saved their lives as is the case with everyone who trusts the Lord. They survived and were rescued 10 days later, whereby this is definitely a "divine miracle".

On December 11, 2022 the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, and maritime partners embarked on a search for the men that spanned 21,164 square miles of waters from New Jersey to Northern Florida. And that’s when a “Christmas miracle,” happened.

On December 13, the men spotted a 600-foot tanker vessel and began frantically waving their arms and a flag. When they were spotted, the tanker brought both men aboard to safety.

The "Our Father prayer" includes " Father, deliver us form all evil, and lead us to our true home". The Lord Jesus heard the prayer, extricated the two men from the imbroglio they were encountering, and  took them by the hand to the shores of safety.  This powerful prayer is valid for any danger that afflicts humanity as one of the most impressive part is that the it start by professing our core religious belief that the Lord is our heavenly Father—the one who is all knowing and all powerful. It is worthy to note that Lord Jesus didn’t instruct us to say, “My Father” but stressed “Our Father.” This reminds us that we recognize all those around us as children of God and that they are treated accordingly while viewing the Lord as their intimate father Who answers their needs and keeps them free from any harm while treating all their ailments.

Pray "Our Father" every day, be in the company of the divine Father, as well as feel safe and happy because the Lord sends His angels to keep all forms of evil at bay.
