"For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother"

Loneliness is one of the major factors in life that causes terminal health and mental problems. While brotherhood or rather brotherly love is one of the prominent features of humanity without which life loses its beauty and becomes controlled by materialism and selfishness. Thus, brotherhood, is one the graces and gifts bestowed by the Almighty Lord where people come to the aid of their brothers, save them while struggling in the scuttling ship of life, and stand by them in times of troubles by seeking to eliminate the feeling of bleak loneliness in life. It is a sacred relationship that can never break or be violated unless one gives up oneself to evil or be attracted by the veneer of life, assuming that life continues to follow the same norm and sequence unabatingly.

Apart from the hassles of life and the sincere endeavors to seek genuine brotherhood that never fails, people always seek unfailing brothers. Yet, this view is neither reliable nor constant where it continues to fluctuate leading to abysmal consequences.  In this regard, it is of cardinal importance to note that according to the Word of God, as mentioned in Matthew 12:46, it states that Lord Jesus was speaking to a group of His disciples when someone said that His mother and brothers were outside and asking to speak to Him, instead of stopping and going outside to talk with His mother and brothers, who came seeking to talk with Him, He turns this question into another question to the man who told Him this. He asks a rhetorical question: Who is My mother and who are My brothers? (Matthew 12:48)  He added, "For whoever does the will of my Father in Heaven is my brother, sister, and mother. (Matthew 12:50)

Actually this answer given by the Lord of hearts, minds, and the entire world is a reflection of Lord Jesus' unwavering desire to have friends or rather an infinite number of them. It is really a nonpareil privilege to take Lord Jesus as a brother as in this case He reveals that every person can become a member of His family. Consequently closeness to Lord Jesus depends only on "listening carefully to the Word of God and fulfilling it.'" Thus, Lord Jesus wants everyone to belong to His family. Actually when we pray "Our Father" we call the Lord as our Father and Blessed Mary as our Mother which truly manifests that notion of family that Lord Jesus is inviting us to. The Lord wants us to be next of His kin and part of His divine Family. One of the most wonderful things in life is to realize that we definitely belong to Lord Jesus' family.

In our daily life, there are many people who act as brothers, yet being driven by the lusts of life, namely  wealth and prosperity they miss the crux and the notion of life which can only be materialized by brushing aside mundane selfish interests and seeking the brotherhood of Lord Jesus Christ, whereby such a brotherhood consequently shoves one in an arena of divine safety and love. It is important in this regard to trust the brotherhood of Lord Jesus  for He alleviates those suffering from their debacles and failures as stated in the Holy Bible, "Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
