Many people are living their lives loyal to the church but far from Lord Jesus Christ. In my personal perspective, God never expects anything from any of us except our ability to genuinely love. One golden rule to understand the true meaning of love is to be true to yourself as well as to others. At the current times, people say true love is hard to find, but they are mistaken. Love does not really need one specific way to express it, or a manual for instructions to spread it. All it needs is words to show it, but, most importantly, actions to prove it.
Oh my!!! The things one would do to sincerely hear the words ‘I love you.’! Love is one of the most puzzling mysteries of all times.
The Holy Bible teaches us that the four miraculous letters of "love" are more about actions than utterances. One way is listening with interest to what others share with you: Llistening without interruption is a synonyms to respect and kindness. A sign of self-respect is speaking without making accusations, applying what Saint James said: "This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.”
How many times have we repeated that love is giving? But giving what and to whom? Give what others around you need. Start from your own family. Give time, smiles, hugs, kindness and encouraging words, among many other things one is capable of giving but either ignores, or finds no time to do.
I meet people who have an exaggerated self-esteem; maybe it’s the degree they hold, or the car they drive, or even the tattoo they show off. If they lack love, they lack it all.
The Love giving should be ‘without sparing’: “All day long he is craving, while the righteous gives and does not hold back.”
Keeping promises is an expression of love, too. One thing I do is write them down to remember to keep them.
But to be able to experience life to its full is simply to live your every day without complaining. Do what you have to do of house chores, driving, waking up early, sleeping late … applying what Saint Paul tells us in Philippians to “do all things without complaining and disputing.”
When it comes to you, remember that you were designed with love, and be sure that there is always a way if there is love.
