Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media Fr. Rif'at Bader said: "The world stands amazed while viewing the ability of evil and Satan to get hold of all groups of people by turning their joys into sorrows as well inflicting tragedies on families, nations and humans."
He added: "We pray that the Almighty God would bestow His Mercy upon the souls of the victims in both Lebanon and France. We also ask the Lord to give eternal life to the dead, to heal the wounded, and to give solace and tranquility to the bereaved families."
According to Fr. Bader, terrorist acts-- that have been unpredictably occurring on daily bases--became a human dilemma that is no longer a source of concern confined to a party or state excluding the others. It is the prime dilemma and a scourge which we have to jointly strive to fight, to stem, or rather to extricate and have it vanish into oblivion."
He stressed that "we have in the first place to express appreciation and encouragement to all security agencies that work day and night in the service of citizens in various countries; and that it is the duty of the world countries to be vigilant and to assiduously block any infiltration of terrorism, of its associates and off affiliates. In the churches we express disbelief in the devil, all his deeds and falsehood. We, nowadays, we are called upon to express disbelief in terrorism, its falsehood and its diabolical deeds."
He called for "taking part in the 'intellectual battle' led by nobles and the people of good deeds in the world who are still capable of seeing the goodness and beauty in the future." He noted that ''this battle is designed to purify 'culture and religion' of all evil intentions as well any violent and bloody nature, since culture serves to bring about a bright future while religion serves to attain peace.
Thus, it is imperative for human beings everywhere and at any time to review the curricula and methods of teachings in schools and universities. What is more important at home and places of worship is to introduce the notion of respecting 'others' and the importance of respecting human dignity.''
Regarding the Jordanian national arena, Fr. Bader stressed that "we are proud of our Hashemite leadership as well as the awareness and maturity of our people. What is happening in the neighbouring countries and in the countries of the world necessitates that we further stick to our national unity as its serves as an impregnable bulwark against any attempt to penetrate the ranks of our society, of our unity and of our harmony." He added:"We strongly support our security agencies that are vigilantly serving to block whatever impedes the march of reform, or undermine our safety and security that have been a model in the whole world."
Fr. Bader concluded by saying: We have strong faith in the statement made by His Majesty the King in his interview with Euro News a few days ago, where he said: "We have to cooperate as followers of religions in the eradication of terrorism, and to participate in this intellectual war, so that humans can restore their dignity and respect for their holy life.''
