The entire Holy Bible includes what can be termed as “jewels” that are valid all time with divine reflections and elucidation of the right path of life for those who go astray.
Among the verses that draw attention and have a strong impact on one’s life is the verse which states, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the Earth.” (Philippians 2:10) Jesus has the name above all names because Jesus Christ is Lord! This name, given to Him by the Father, affirms His divinity and supreme authority.
This verse unveils the divine and nonpareil personality of the greatest divine person Who lived with us in human nature but left the most merciful and noble image in the hearts and minds of all those who follow His sublime teachings, namely Lord Jesus Christ.
This verse indicates that no other person deserves all honor and praise, might and majesty, dominion and power, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.
Jesus is our great High Priest, our Shepherd and King. He is the Seed of the woman that crushed the head of Satan. “Jesus” is the name that soothes the troubles breast and Who calms our fears, and yet, the One that is full of grace and truth.
Despite the fact that He was fully God, He dressed Himself in sinless humanity and came to Earth in appearance as a man. The Lord Jesus humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a Cross.
It is for this reason also, He is highly exalted Him and bestowed the name which is above every name so that "at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on Earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, our Savior and King, our Lord and our God Who alone is worthy to receive all honor and praise. We confirm that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. We also seek in our prayers to be associated all the time with the Lord, our Shepherd, who cares for His sheep. Amen
