"Glory to God in the highest Heaven, and on Earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." (Luke 2:14)

The entire world is currently marking the Advent Season. The advent is a period of anticipation. It is the time when the people worldwide get ready to allow Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts in ways far different from other times. It is time to look for practical ways to observe the holiness of the season in our everyday lives. It is also the time when people ponder what it means that Lord Jesus Christ came into this world as a child and will return to take the faithful with Him to His Kingdom.

During the four weeks of Advent, people get ready for the celebration of Lord Jesus Christ’s birth through prayer and reflection while contemplating "His First Coming" and awaiting His promised Second Coming. It is a time to dwell on the most amazing love story, namely God's love for us when Lord Jesus Christ took on human flesh and offered Himself on the Cross so that the gates of heaven would open to the faithful.

At a time when the people worldwide are suffering from the gargantuan ramifications of the corona pandemic which yielded political strife and economic hardships that have impacted all walks of life, the Advent provides a time to identify the movement of God in our lives. It is a time to pray, to study God’s Word, to worship as well as to remain alert and ready for the Second Coming of the Lord.

The Holy Bible makes several references relevant to the birth of Lord Jesus. Among the most outstanding verses is, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

The Holy  Bible accentuates the fact that Lord Jesus is the called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". At present the world need needs Lord Jesus Christ, the Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace." The world has all the time been in need of the advent of the Prince of peace so that genuine and everlasting peace would prevail.

Let the entire world pray for peace so that humanity would reap the fruits of peace though common living, love, and prosperity.
