"Let us turn our dreams into reality"

With life abounding with endless problems, the only option left for people to find possible solution to insurmountable problems is day- dreaming.

With Christmas celebrations to be shortly marked--at a time when they are being concomitant with financial and social problems triggered by the  Corona pandemic lockdowns and restrictions that have interrupted people’s lives and brought suffering on a global scale-- His Holiness  Pope Francis launched  a new book  titled, “Let Us Dream”.

With this new publication serving as a guide for people to emerge from the prevailing crises further strengthened and more capable to surmount all impediments, the Pope used the mechanism of dreaming which is a way of  exploring the possibility of something new the Holy Spirit may offer you.

In the book, the Pope unveils a perspicacious view by saying“To overcome the pandemic we must not only find the cure for the coronavirus, which is important. We must also find a cure for the major human and socioeconomic viruses.” Furthermore, the Pope saw the cruelty and inequity of our society exposed more vividly than ever before. He also saw, in the resilience, generosity, and creativity of so many people, the means to rescue our society, our economy, and our planet.

Urging us not to let the pain be in vain, the Pope teaches us about how to handle upheaval of any kind in our own lives and the world at large. He also indicates that Christians’ first duty is to serve others, especially the poor and the marginalized, just as Jesus did. He also offers an inspiration for building a better world for all humanity by putting the poor at the heart of new thinking.

PEOPLE OF IRAQ AND SYRIA "ARE DREAMING" OF A BETTER FUTURE

With the people of Iraq and Syrian are being pummeled with harsh economic conditions caused by wars, violence, and poverty culminating with the pandemic,  a video message from Pope Francis set the tone for the online meeting of  about fifty Catholic charities aimed at coordinating humanitarian aid and development for the suffering populations in Syria and Iraq.

Such a papal initiative gives hopes to people who strive for their survival in a jungle abounding with hardship and desperation. It also encourages the displaced to return to their countries and live in safety".

Pope's book "Let us Dream" is an explicit reminder to suffering people that their dreams for a better future will definitely be fulfilled.  With the support of the Vatican and Christian charities, it is also important to recall the Almighty God's words, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)
